Core Router Failure

All Core Routers are Cisco brand units with a hot spare unit outfitted with identical equipment at-the ready. A hot swap chassis is pre-mounted, tested and functioning for use in the event of a failure of the primary router. The second chassis contains identical features of the primary chassis.

CLEAR LINK’s uplink routers are redundant and multi-homed via BGP4. If one uplink router would fail, all of the data center's internet traffic will be automatically re-directed to the redundant uplink router. All 24/7 paid customers of the data center are provided immediate redundancy of internet communications including low-bandwidth customers.
